Puracy Natural Bug Spray - The Clinical Data Behind the Efficacy
We've been working on our Natural Bug Spray formula for an entire year.
An important part of the research and development process was to ensure the product is effective at repelling insects. To do so, we enlisted in a third party scientific lab to test our product. They specialize in testing insecticides. During the test, we compared ourselves to the leading natural insect repellent on the market in a head-to-head trial. We also used water as the control. Below are the methods, raw data, and summarized results.
With the Zika virus posing a strong concern right now, we tested repellency claims against the aedes aegypti (yellow fever) mosquitoes. These are the insects responsible for over 90% of Zika transmissions.
We are not required to run trials like this and many companies simply do not. They are expensive, time consuming, and may highlight deficiencies in the product. However, we feel very strongly about proving that our product successfully repels these insects. We are not required to publish our results, but we wanted the consumers to have the proof behind our product claims.
